DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Personal Support Worker, you bring skill and compassion to the workplace. A Personal Support Worker manages many different aspects of a client’s domestic, physical and emotional well-being and contributes greatly to the client’s overall quality of life.

Personal Support Workers can have any number of duties, depending on the client and the level and type of care required. They can assist clients with bathing, maintaining personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, preparing meals, assisting in the feeding of clients and administering medication. Personal Support Workers may be asked to perform basic housekeeping duties, such as laundry, light cleaning and making beds. They also interact with clients and other family members to provide companionship, answer questions and create a cheerful and positive experience for everyone involved.
